My Terrible Beach Experience

Hey peeps!

I’m going to tell you about my terrible experience at the beach. My cousins Tani and Sid stayed at my house for 2 weeks, and we decided to go to the beach.

On Friday, Tani and I got ready in our swimsuits without everyone else knowing because we both really wanted to go (it’s so boring in quarantine!) We raced downstairs and everyone laughed at us.

We didn’t care; we just wanted to go. We told them that we wanted to go the beach and they said that it’s raining. Seriously? My mom called the community clubhouse and asked them if we could swim in the community pool. They said it was closed. There it was; we couldn’t go that day.

Then, on Sunday we got ready and dressed after lunch to go. My dad packed snacks and towels and we set off to Juno Beach. When we got there, it was packed with people. We couldn’t go in the water, because there was a high current. And then it started raining. Ugh. Seriously, a few minutes after we got there, it started raining!

We were very upset. My uncle saw how upset we were and said that we could try to go to West Palm Beach. We all said yes! He began driving downtown.

We headed downtown to West Palm Beach, and thankfully, it wasn’t raining. We began to run to the water, but we noticed a big problem. Seaweed. There were big piles of seaweed everywhere, even in clumps in the Water!

We jumped over the piles and got in the water. Then, Tani and I felt something grabbing onto our leg. It was seaweed. We tried to ignore the seaweed and just enjoy the beach.

Tani and Sid managed to start going deeper and deeper, but when I tried to, big waves pushed me back, getting in my eyes. You know how annoying it is when saltwater gets in your eyes! I scooted a little deeper and then I started swimming! I began racing with Tani and Sid! We stayed there for about one hour, and then we packed up the towels and snacks and left.

Even though our trip started out terrible, at the end it was still fun!

Dill-ightful Armadillo Sighting

H ey peeps! Today I’m going to tell you about a dill-ightful armadillo sighting. Mom woke me up at 6:AM (so early!) to go walking. I pulled the blanket over my head and she pulled it right off. I groaned and put on my sneakers.
