Boba Tea, Ramune, And More!

  Hi!

Sorry for not posting for a long time :-)

Today, my mom took my friend and I to a boba tea store! It was the first time I had tried boba tea before, and I was really nervous. What if it didn’t taste good?

The inside of the store looked so cute! There were paintings of boba tea on the walls, and fairy lights hanging from the ceiling. We went up to the counter and took our orders.

My mom ordered a small coconut milk tea, my friend ordered a strawberry milk tea with boba pearls, and I ordered a matcha milk tea with boba pearls.

We sat down on a bench while waiting for our tea to be made. I thought that it would take a long time, but it only took ten minutes! We got our teas, and then we started to sip them. My matcha milk tea tasted really good. It tasted very floral and earthy. I loved it! We paid our bill.

Boba tea is really popular now, but did you know that it was invented in the early 1980s? It’s true! People sold boba tea at stands, and kids loved to get a refreshing cup of tea after a long day at school. The store we went to was called “The Bubble Tea House.”

Then we went to a Chinese Oriental market that was right next door to the boba store. It has lots of Asian snacks and treats, and it has some pretty unusual things.

I went there with my friend and the first thing we saw when we walked into the store was a drink cooler. There were lots of cool drinks inside, and I picked a Japanese Soda called Ramune, in orange flavor, and a peach milk. My friend picked out a strawberry flavored Ramune and a strawberry milk. The store was selling boba pearls in bags! We bought one and went to her house.

The instructions on the back of the bag said to place the pearls in boiling water for three minutes, and then put the pearls into a drink of your choice. We didn’t have boba at home, so we put sugar in milk instead. Then we put in the boba pearls. The pearls came out fine, except some were undercooked, and really firm and hard to chew.

It was a really fun experience.

I hope I can come again sometime soon!

Dill-ightful Armadillo Sighting

H ey peeps! Today I’m going to tell you about a dill-ightful armadillo sighting. Mom woke me up at 6:AM (so early!) to go walking. I pulled the blanket over my head and she pulled it right off. I groaned and put on my sneakers.
